The Four Week College Experience

I've been going to college for about 4 weeks now, and so far it's just like a huge high school. I didn't think I'd really make any friends, but I did. The commute has gotten better-- it doesn't seem that long any more, even when I don't have company on the train (because looking out the window is awesome). Though college has its downsides, like being so daum far (and getting there sometimes an hour early), actual pop quizzes, and lots of reading for homework in such a short amount of time, it's been alright. The thing I'm really worried about is midterms because I haven't actually been tested on that stuff, so I feel like I'll forget all the stuff I learned. I've got my first one on Monday, so I hope I don't die on it. -__-
The one cool thing about college is that I actually do get more freedom. I could take the train anywhere as long as I'm back by my certain time, but I actually haven't done that yet....that's about it.
Other than that, my brother has convinced me that Iron Maiden isn't that bad... I'm glad Psych and NCIS is on (FINALLY!!!!!)
My auntie from Ohio came to visit for... two weeks? It was interesting having her here, bringing her completely different views back to CA. We spent a school day together, and that was...interesting.
Listening to music while typing this (Iron Maiden. with the headphones my boyfriend gave me for my b-day!) is making me realize how distracting music is while I'm typing. I guess I never noticed. Oh well.
So yeah, I guess that's it.
No, I haven't read any "interesting" books lately. Just my EPSY, GS, and speech class, books.... I can't wait for Inheritance (11-14-11) and Crossed (11-1-11) to come out!!!! (NOVEMBER HURRY!!)

A little summary of what's happened The happenings Graduated college with my degree in 2015. It seems to be pretty useless because I haven't even really used it for anything in my field. 9 More thoughts plus side thoughts

Okay, so it's been about 11 weeks since I've been on here and typed up my opinions, and I'm sure you guys liked that break. But now that the quarter's over, there's a TON of stuff that I have to comment on (or so I thought). I was actually thinking of doing a compare and contrast of my Sophomore years...but that's a little too personal for this bloggy thingy, so I guess I won't do that...list form sounds good. Lists are awesome. I don't really know why I like lists so much, but I put everything into lists or bullet points... weird, right?! These winter holidays. I also complained about this last year too, I know that for a fact, but seriously: These large corporations are squeezing the "joy" out of the holidays by putting up ad after ad after ad after ad....not after Thanksgiving, but weeks before. Mourning is a strange thing

I keep on thinking to myself: You're sure she's not just sleeping? You're sure she's not just in the hospital? Are you sure? Are you sure you're sure? But you saw what you saw and that was that coffin going into the ground with her body in it and everyone threw roses and carnations into the grave five feet under ground... It really hasn't sunk in, has it? I'm going on with my life, and I think about you more than I have in the past couple years- because I took you for granted. I always thought you would live to see all your grandchildren get into their 30s. I always thought you'd be there to watch me get married; to fix my wedding gown; to watch ME...us... live our lives. To be there to babysit your great-grand-kids like you babysat your grandkids...me. My brother. My cousins.
