Things that aren't logical to me. At all.

Stupid media first of all............ -___- Why do kids (mainly girls) try to look like adults? I see these 5th graders and they look like they're 20. Even I don't look 20. And I've got 2 years to go. Why do girls have to make that stupid "duck face?" I'm a girl (who is NOT in the "in crowd" if all you people haven't noticed) and I don't get why girls have to make themselves look ridiculous by sticking out their lips in such a stupid looking way. If you're going to stick out your lips, at least try to make that fishy face. xD At least that's funny looking. I'm sure the people close to me will know my beef with make up... oorrr.. maybe not cause this is something I've just gotten to care about recently. I don't understand why so many girls have to hide their faces when there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. I can understand slight make up for covering up pimples and other strange blemishes, and I get wearing make u...

The Four Week College Experience

I've been going to college for about 4 weeks now, and so far it's just like a huge high school. I didn't think I'd really make any friends, but I did. The commute has gotten better-- it doesn't seem that long any more, even when I don't have company on the train (because looking out the window is awesome). Though college has its downsides, like being so daum far (and getting there sometimes an hour early), actual pop quizzes, and lots of reading for homework in such a short amount of time, it's been alright. The thing I'm really worried about is midterms because I haven't actually been tested on that stuff, so I feel like I'll forget all the stuff I learned. I've got my first one on Monday, so I hope I don't die on it. -__- The one cool thing about college is that I actually do get more freedom. I could take the train anywhere as long as I'm back by my certain time, but I actually haven't done that yet....that's about it. Ot...

Book, College...That's It.

So I finished Misspent Youth , by Peter F. Hamilton a couple days ago. I thought it would be better. The ending was predictable, and the story was interesting, but boring at the same time. How do writers do that? How can they write something interesting yet boring? It was boring because of all the unnecessary scenes in the book, but it was interesting because the book was set in the future, and there was some interesting sounding technology. Other than that, the book was boring. Now, I've reading Fallen Dragon , also by Peter F. Hamilton (I started on...um... Tuesday?), and I'm on page 78 of 818. I've made so much progress in that book. HAHA. It's got the stories of three characters so far, and it's alright, but it's one of those books that puts me to sleep. I doubt I'll be able to finish this book by Wednesday, which is when college will finally start. If not, I can read it on BART... if I'm that desperate for entertainment (it's actually pretty in...

My Normal Bookly Reviews

So, I've read two more books. I suppose I'll be going on this thing whenever I've finished reading two books, not three, since reading three books takes too long. Anyway, I just finished my second book (after the last entry) today, and that too, was a let-down-ending. As I said last time, the book I had just started reading at the time was  The Almost Moon , by Alice Sebold. That one was alright, I suppose; nothing really exciting about it in my opinion. It was just a "Crazy" daughter getting away with the murder of her "crazy" mother, and what it was like for her. Man, she was going through her memories left and right-- then again, I suppose everyone goes through their memories like that...especially after they've killed someone. Not that I would know. The worst I've ever thought of someone was hoping an anvil would fall on them and crack their head open... or getting roasted by a flamethrower... but yeah, never going to do that... The Almost M...

Books, Geneaology, ETC

I usually like to comment on books when I've read three, but I feel like I need to make a "post" now... just 'cause! So, I've read two books. The one I finished yesterday was, Richmond Tales , by Summer Brenner, and the one I finished the day before that was called, The Thirteenth Tale , by Dianne Setterfield. The Thirteeth Tale was fairly interesting. My Gramma said it was hard to get into, but I remember thinking while reading a line (that I don't remember right now, and am too lazy to go back to my Gramma's and find the book and...and even to want to go through the book and remember what caught me when I was reading the first couple chapters of this book), that I liked this book. Though the book is about a girl writing down a famous author's life story, it becomes more than that. The girl becomes the story, in a way-- she dreams what she's writing about at some point. I was so sure that I knew who the author was (there were twins involved in t...

Finally Done with Two Towers and Pride and Prejudice

Okay, so, I've been complaining about reading The Two Towers . The ending left more to be desired, but of course, that's what Return of the King is for. But, yes, J.R.R. Tolkien's style is very detailed-- so detailed I know that I won't be able to go on with reading Return of the King . I couldn't take reading about Sam, Frodo, and Gollum walking around Mordor...or wherever they were. I just couldn't. I have to admit that I didn't really read the last couple pages because I already knew what was going to happen. (THANK YOU FAMILY FOR MAKING ME WATCH THE MOVIE...and THANK YOU HOLLYWOOD FOR KILLING MY BOOK READING EXPERIENCE!! Much appreciated. -____-). So yeah, I saw the movie. A much less arduous way to learn the tales of J.R.R. Tolkien. A more enjoyable way too. I said I read Pride and Prejudice , by Jane Austen. I did, I did. I'm not really sure what to make of it, really... I mean, it was easier to read than Lord of the Rings, but the Old English m...

These aren't Happy Poems...

When I feel down/sorry for myself/ ignored/ pissed at myself/etc, I write. Not much of what I've written is on here.. actually, none of the poetry I've written is on here. But, because I feel like these poems are really what I was feeling, and feel right now, I'm going to type them out. Because right now, I feel absolutely pathetic. -__- By the way, only one other person has seen/heard these... and now the world will... if the world even happens to come across this.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So I walk away I don't feel like saying anything It will go away... It will go away... In remembrance, I think of you In remembrance, I mourn the past The regret... The regret... What happened? Oh, no, it's nothing It's nothing to worry about Walk it out Walk away from everything and find the hidden re-start button Re-do the wrongs done Then make the same mistakes unknowingly Without realizing the wrongs done Just walk away only walking...
